3 Reasons why you “Don’t Stop Believin”

Last night was my first time seeing the legendary music group – Journey, one of the top American rock bands in history. Not only was it an awesome concert, it really reminded me of some important life lessons:

(1)  First of all, change it is inevitable – get your arms around it and embrace it. Losing Steve Perry, their lead singer could have been end of the line for Journey. There is a reason why they say the show must go on, the band needs to evolve and the concert goers as in this case clearly embraced the change. Reality is that in life there are always “big shoes to fill”– don’t let that make you fear or oppress change.

(2)  No excuses, people succeed from all backgrounds and walks of life. Arnel Pineda was born and raised in the Philippines.  His mother instilled his love for singing at an early age, encouraging him to sing along to songs from his favorite singers like Karen Carpenter and Barbra Streisand.  His mother’s health tragedy struck early when Arnel was only 13 years of age. This event left the family financially destroyed and led to Arnel being homeless for several years on the street.

(3)  Opportunity and talent is everywhere. Arnel Pineda was found on YouTube back in 2007. Talent always rises to the top, especially when there is equal effort on the commitment towards success. With Arnel as the lead singer the band isn’t missing a beat. It is amazing not only to hear how similar the vocals were to Steve Perry but how at home Arnel looked on stage.

Remember – work Hard, be Passionate, Love what you do, and always be Positive – yourself and to others.

It is up to each and every one of us to make it happen. When you get your chance, run hard and never turn back.

And most importantly, “Don’t Stop Believin”.

Here a sneak peek of this amazing concert… Enjoy!
