Banana Blueberries Quinoa Porridge

Healthy porridge of quinoa served with banana and almonds. Fresh

I have been looking for alternatives to substitute my morning oatmeal, and  I decided to try this recipe!

It caught my attention because is well know that Quinoa is high in fiber, protein (it is a complete protein containing all nine essential amino acids) and has a low glycemic index. These properties have all been linked to improved health.

I always eat it for lunch, but never try it as a breakfast option before, and it is surprisingly delicious!

Banana Blueberries Quinoa Porridge 

  • 1/2 cup Quinoa (let it cook on the milk for about 15 minutes)
  • 1 cup Almond or Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 Banana
  • 1/2 cup Blueberries
  • Honey
  • Almonds (optional)
  • Cinnamon
